The Home size observatory is ideal for any individual observer or for a small club. It adequately holds two to three people with a side or centrally mounted telescope. The addition of one or more wall storage locker panels will add to the available space.

The School size unit will suit the larger telescope. It is designed for a tutor and up to eight people. The clear span and clean lines allows all observers to move about easily within the observator

The University size unit is ideal for larger groups and the bigger telescope. Seated groups of up to twenty people will find such an observatory very spacious and extremely easy to operate

In addition to our 2.3 metre Home Model, 3.5m School Model and 6.7m University Models, demand from customers has meant we have increased the size of the Sirius family to include the 5 metre College Model. This latest design gives plenty of room, yet is still small enough that it can be put together without a specialist supervisor. An easy to follow instruction manual is sent with every observatory sold.

The modular construction of the 'Sirius' Observatory is designed so that both the Home & School model can be assembled by unskilled persons. The University model will require factory assitance. Assembly instructions are provided for the construction of the dome walls, doors and shutters. The mechanical drive mechanisms are also modular and can be easily assembled using the instructions provided. Crane assistance is only required for the installation of the dome onto the walls of the complete 'University' and 'School' size models.
With strong fibreglass construction the 'Sirius' Observatory provides the strength and characteristics of ocean going fibreglass yachts and marine craft. Fibreglass vessels are built from exactly the same materials. We have added additional strength to return flanges, roof panels, doors and shutters of the 'Sirius' Observatory. Designing and manufacturing with fibreglass provides clean and even flow lines that will not hold snow, ice and other debris.
Because of the expensive equipment to be housed inside the 'Sirius' Observatory, we have built waterproof joints to all dome and wall panels. This seal is guaranteed for the life of the product. The white outer shell provides the user with a 'warmer in winter' and 'cooler in summer' environment to enjoy both work and leisure.
We use only the best marine grade Gelcoat finishes available on your 'Sirius' Observatory. This Observatory will appear as new, year after year in all weather conditions. There is never a requirement for painting the inside or outside of the product. When necessary, the use of a simple spray or wipe with fibreglass polish to the outside, will maintain the 'Sirius' superior clean lines.
Your 'Sirius' Observatory has been pre-assembled and made fully operational at our manufacturing plant prior to shipping. Each panel and mechanical part is then numbered for ease of assembly.
